Rubicon is the personal jumpship of the Genetic Dynasty. It was used by Brother Day to travel to the Maiden in person to resolve the Luminism succession crisis.[1]
In 12,240, Emperor Cleon XVII and Demerzel used the Rubicon to travel to Terminus in response to the actions of Hober Mallow and a perceived declaration of war from Hari Seldon. Upon visiting Terminus City and the Vault, Demerzel used the vessel to return to Trantor, leaving Emperor Day on the Shining Destiny.
Design[]
The Rubicon resembles a slightly enlarged version of the imperial commercial Jumpships with slightly larger jump rings and is ornately decorated with gold on large parts of the ship, the Rubicon also serves as the Emperor's superyacht of sorts with well ornately decorated interior resembling the Imperial palace.
The Rubicon is also armed with advanced weapon systems for self-defense if they were to ever be intercepted by pirates or rebels.
