Neutron bombs are part of the weapons complement of Imperial warships. The projectiles possess a low explosive yield but a high amount of ionizing radiation.[1] Imperial Trireme-class ships armed with neutron bombs conducted orbital bombardments of the planets Anacreon and Thespis to devastating effect in retaliation for the bombing of Trantor's Star Bridge due to the alleged participation of citizens of both planets of the Periphery in said attack.[2]
