Isaac Asimov (born c. January 2, 1920; died April 6, 1992) was an American science fiction writer and novelist. A prolific writer, Asimov wrote or edited more than 500 books. Considered to be one of the "Big Three" science fiction writers alongside Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke, Asimov wrote the Foundation series upon which the Apple TV+ series of the same name is based on.
