The Trireme-class ship was a military jumpship used by the naval forces of the Galactic Empire. They were used to bombard the planets of Anacreon and Thespis with neutron bombs in retaliation for the destruction of Trantor's Star Bridge.[1] The Aegis, commanded by Kray Dorwin, was a Trireme-class ship.[2]
In 12,240 Era Imperial, at least fifteen Trireme-class vessels were part of the 20th Fleet under the command of General Bel Riose and the Shining Destiny. The fleet was assigned to investigate the speread of the Foundation in the Outer Reach.[3] Some time later, a large force of Trireme-class ships were used to create an enclosure around the planet Terminus, ensuring that nothing could escape the world.[4]
