The Gold Horse Gate was an Imperial jump gate that allowed access to and from the planet Kalgan.[1] In 12,392 Era Imperial, the jump gate was secretly taken over by the Mule following his coup on the planet Kalgan.[2] Shortly after, the Galactic Council authorised an Enclosure around Kalgan, and the Imperial fleet deployed to surround Kalgan. Once the fleet was in position, the Mule triggered a cobalt spike that he had placed on the jump gate. The device triggered a solar flare in the star which destroyed the gate and swept over Kalgan, killing the population.[1]
