Chaser was the personal starship owned by Toran and Bayta Mallow. It was designed to be a home and entertainment center, and was run by a computer named "Sweetheart". The Chaser was on Kalgan during the Mule's coup.[2] Toran and Bayta used the Chaser to escape Kalgan with Magnifico Giganticus, but the ship was damaged by a missile strike.[1] The damage to the ship was extensive enough that it was unable to reach New Terminus, and had to divert to Haven. The damage included the Chaser's communications system, and they were unable to contact the Alliance of Traders as they approached their stronghold. The Traders shot the Chaser down and it crash landed on Haven's cold side. Toran, Bayta, and Magnifico survived and were recovered by Traders led by Randu Mallow.[3]
